MAZIAN

MELON MAZIAN (MAF 35) F1 is an ultra-early pineapple-type hybrid of French breeding by the company Clause. The vegetative period is 55-60 days from seedling planting to ripening, which allows for an early commercial harvest. The plant is compact, moderately foliated, with strong stems and a well-developed root system, ensuring stable development even under adverse weather conditions. The hybrid forms 3 to 5 fruits, which are uniform in size and shape, which is especially important for commercial cultivation.

MELON MAZIAN fruits have a classic oval shape, 19-20 cm long and 16-18 cm in diameter, with an average weight of 2-3 kg. The rind is orange with a net pattern, and the flesh is white, moderately dense, crisp, and juicy. A distinctive feature is the high sweetness and rich aroma, which makes the melon taste particularly pleasant and rich. The fruits maintain a marketable appearance on the bush for a long time, withstand transportation and long-term storage well, which expands their implementation possibilities in the fresh market.

The hybrid is resistant to Fusarium wilt and has medium resistance to powdery mildew, as well as tolerance to downy mildew. The plant develops best on loose, weed-free, and moderately moist soils. MAZIAN is recommended for cultivation both in open and closed ground, which allows for obtaining an early spring harvest under cover and a main seasonal harvest with a high concentration of marketable fruits.
