Zlata watermelon is a high-yielding mid-early maturing variety with a vegetative period from germination to technical ripeness of about 80-82 days. The fruits are round or short-oval in shape, with smooth surface and yellow-orange to orange coloration. Fruit weight ranges from 1.3 to 2.6 kilograms, with individual specimens reaching up to 4 kilograms. In early ripening, a medium-pored partial netting is noticeable on the fruit surface. The flesh is white, medium-thick, dense, very juicy and aromatic, with high content of dry matter (about 11.3%), total sugar (8.1%) and vitamin C (16 mg%). Flavor quality is highly rated, at 4.4-4.8 points.

The variety is characterized by good drought resistance and resistance to major diseases such as anthracnose, powdery mildew and gray mold, ensuring a stable yield and reducing the risk of losses. Fruits ripen uniformly, facilitating harvest. Due to its dense flesh and good storability, Zlata watermelon retains its market qualities for a long time and withstands transportation well, making it attractive for commercial cultivation.

High yield potential allows obtaining up to 18-22 tons of marketable product per hectare. In northern regions, it is recommended to grow Zlata watermelon through seedlings to achieve optimal results.
