Engineering and Gearbox Design

The Neva МК-100-08 is built on a proven mid-range tiller architecture, prioritizing a balance between weight and torque output. At its core is a gear-chain transmission, which offers significantly higher efficiency compared to worm-gear drives, especially when working in dense or compacted soils. A key maintenance advantage of this model is the detachable gearbox housing, allowing for direct access to the chain drive and sprockets without requiring a full unit teardown.

Power Transmission and Protection

The machine features a 4-stroke overhead valve (OHV) engine paired with a belt-drive system. This design acts as a natural safety clutch; if the tines strike a rock or a heavy root, the belt slips, preventing mechanical damage to the engine crankshaft or the transmission internals. By shifting the belt across the pulley grooves, the operator can adjust the rotation speed, optimizing the tiller for different soil conditions and operational requirements.

Ergonomics and Control

The handlebar column is adjustable in both height and horizontal orientation. This flexibility allows the operator to walk to the side of the tiller, preventing them from stepping on and re-compacting the soil that has already been tilled. The controls are ergonomically positioned on the handles, and the adjustable drag bar (depth limiter) allows for precise control over the working depth, ensuring the machine remains stable and easy to handle during operation.
