MOOSKRAUSE 2 is an early-maturing leaf parsley variety that reaches technical maturity in approximately 65-70 days after germination. The plant forms a large semi-spreading rosette with green leaves featuring ruffled edges. The leaves have a rich aroma and pleasant taste due to their essential oil content. The average weight of one plant is 45-50 grams, and the total yield with multiple harvests reaches 2.0-2.5 kg per square meter. Sowing seeds is recommended in late April to early May at a depth of 1.5-2 cm, after pre-soaking them in moist fabric for 2-3 days to improve germination. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to low temperatures and drought, allowing it to be grown both in open and protected ground. The plant prefers light and moist conditions, develops well on loose and fertile soils. Seeds germinate at temperatures from 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, making sowing possible early in spring, during summer, or even for winter. Parsley leaves can be used fresh or for drying—for this, they are cut during the budding stage when they reach a height of 10-12 cm. MOOSKRAUSE 2 is valued for its high productivity and decorative qualities. The leaves have strong and medium incisedness, are coarsely curly, with intense coloring and long upright stems. The variety possesses complex resistance to leaf diseases, including powdery mildew, ensuring stable crop quality. Thanks to its rich aroma and exquisite taste, parsley is widely used for garnishing dishes and obtaining early greens. This variety, produced in the Netherlands, is distinguished by rapid regrowth after cutting and stability of color characteristics.
