ARKAIM

The Peony variety 'Arkaim' features a compact, upright bush reaching about 65 cm in height and approximately 50 cm in diameter, covered with a moderate amount of green, smooth leaves. The peony flowers have a hemispherical shape and a double (full) structure, reaching a diameter of up to 15 cm, and are colored pink with a raspberry blush on the center. The petals are rounded and separate at the edges, while the flower has a medium aroma that is not too intense. Blooming lasts about 9–19 days, depending on conditions; the flowers shed and fade slightly, maintaining the plant's decorative appeal throughout the entire flowering period.

The 'Arkaim' variety is characterized by high resistance to adverse weather conditions, diseases, and pests, as well as good winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and heat resistance. The medium-strength flower stems can support up to 4 flowers each, and up to 20 flowers can form on a single bush, ensuring abundant and prolonged blooming. Due to these qualities, the peony is suitable for both landscaping and cut flower arrangements, maintaining freshness and attractiveness in bouquets.

This peony variety was bred in the late 1990s in Bashkiria through crossing the 'Amabilis Superbissima' variety and the Mlokosievich peony. It does not fruit, making it an exclusively decorative plant. 'Arkaim' is valued for its high decorative appeal and its ability to maintain an attractive appearance even in challenging climatic conditions, making it an excellent choice for gardeners and florists.
