Berton

The Berton (PL 4110 F1) pumpkin is an early-maturing butter squash hybrid developed by the Korean seed company Asia Seed. The vegetative period is 80-100 days from emergence of uniform seedlings. The plant is climbing and spreading, with a strong root system and abundant leaves, which ensures high yield and resilience to stressful conditions. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to powdery mildew and other diseases, making it low-maintenance and reliable for cultivation in open ground.

The fruits of the Berton pumpkin have a pear-shaped form and bright orange color, with an average weight of 1 to 1.5 kg. The skin is dense, which contributes to long-term storage of the harvest without loss of flavor. The flesh is bright orange, dense, with high sugar and beneficial micronutrient content, possessing a pleasant taste and aroma. The seed cavity is small, which increases the edible portion of the fruit.
