BISON

BISON is a high-yielding spring rape (Brassica napus var. napus) type 00 variety, indicating the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. It is intended for seed production and is characterized by high oil content in seeds, reaching 40.0-46.7%. The weight of 1000 seeds ranges from 3.4 to 4.3 grams, indicating good seed quality. The vegetative period of the variety is 96-102 days, which allows for effective planning of agricultural activities in various regions. The BISON variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging (4.4-5.0 points) and shattering (3.7-4.6 points), which contributes to crop preservation and reduced losses during harvesting. Yield of the variety varies by region and reaches from 12.5 to 19.3 centners per hectare, and in some cases can be higher. Rape is successfully cultivated in the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Ural, and Western Siberian regions of Russia, and is recommended for sowing in Leningrad, Bryansk, Ivanovo, Ryazan regions, and the Perm region.
