The winter rapeseed hybrid "Kruasan" from the German breeding company Deutsche Saatveredelung is a simple linear hybrid engineered for stable yields under variable climatic conditions. With a plant height of 160–170 cm, it develops significant biomass, which, when managed with proper nitrogen nutrition, allows the crop to fully exploit its vegetative period. The high yield potential of 60–70 dt/ha is achieved at an optimal seeding rate of 400,000 to 500,000 seeds per hectare.

Biological Protection and Immunity

A key strength of the "Kruasan" variety is its comprehensive resistance to pathogens that typically limit rapeseed productivity. Its genetic architecture ensures high tolerance against:

• Alternaria and Phoma, critical factors affecting pods and stems;
• Sclerotinia (white rot), which can significantly reduce oil content;
• Root rots and blackleg, crucial during the early seedling stage.

Furthermore, resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora) and bacteriosis allows for a reduction in fungicide applications, making it an efficient choice for intensive farming operations.

Seed Quality and Oil Content

The biochemical profile of "Kruasan" is perfectly aligned with the requirements of the oil processing industry. An oil content of 45–50% combined with a low erucic acid profile meets modern commercial rapeseed standards. The low erucic acid index minimizes refinery requirements, thereby increasing its liquidity in both food and technical oil markets.

Field Management Guidelines

When implementing the 400,000–500,000 seeds/ha seeding rate, soil structure and sowing dates should be carefully considered. Due to its balanced development cycle, this hybrid exhibits excellent crop uniformity. This uniformity simplifies desiccation and harvest, significantly reducing mechanical losses during combining.
