The fundamental difference of this genetic material lies in its high plasticity to soil and climatic conditions, which allows for risk mitigation when deviating from optimal sowing dates. The hybrid demonstrates a robust branching potential, a critical factor for forming productive nodes under conditions of an early spring growing season start.

Biological Immunity Against Pathogens

One of the key engineering tasks during the development of DK Expression was focused on resistance to the most common fungal infections that limit rapeseed yield in temperate zones. Monsanto's genetic selection has achieved high levels of resistance to two major threats:

• Phoma (Phoma lingam): infection of the root collar and stem, which leads to premature cracking and lodging. DK Expression effectively inhibits pathogen development during early and intermediate stages of ontogeny.
• Cylindrosporium (Cylindrosporium): an infection affecting the leaf apparatus and pods, reducing overall photosynthetic activity. The hybrid's resistance ensures the preservation of green mass until the ripening phase, guaranteeing high-quality seed filling.

Planting Density Recommendations

When planning a sowing campaign, it is vital to consider the hybrid's adaptability to plant density. The optimal range is between 400,000 and 500,000 plants per hectare. Technically, the choice of density within this range should be based on soil type and water availability:

• The lower threshold (400,000 plants/ha) is preferred for fields with high tillering potential, where plants receive maximum resources and space.
• The upper threshold (500,000 plants/ha) is recommended for conditions with a shorter growing season or fields with less favorable agricultural backgrounds, where it is necessary to compensate for a lack of side shoots by increasing the number of main stems per unit area.

Proper management of the seeding rate, combined with effective fungicide protection, allows for the realization of the full genetic potential of DK Expression, ensuring uniform ripening and minimal harvest losses.
