Hornet

Rapeseed Hornet — a versatile winter hybrid developed for cultivation using Clearfield technology, which provides tolerance to imidazolin-based herbicides. This medium-height hybrid is characterized by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions, including the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. Thanks to its slow stem elongation in autumn, Hornet reduces the risk of freezing and forms intensive vegetative mass, promoting successful plant development under cold and dry conditions.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging and pod cracking, significantly simplifying harvest and improving crop quality. Additionally, Hornet demonstrates genetic resistance to phoma (RlmS) and turnip yellow mosaic virus (TuYV), providing extra protection against common rapeseed diseases. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 50 centners per hectare, making it profitable for commercial cultivation.

Recommended sowing dates for Hornet are mid-to-late, with a seeding rate of 400–550 thousand seeds per hectare. The package contains 1.5 million seeds, enabling efficient planning of sowing operations. The hybrid is ideally suited for short-term crop rotations, expanding its application in modern agrotechnologies and supporting sustainable agricultural land management.
