Description
Kasalla rapeseed is a medium-late winter rapeseed hybrid selected by Lembke, intended for cultivation in the southern regions of Eastern Europe and Ukraine, including arid areas. It is characterized by high yield potential up to 50 t/ha and is suitable for late sowing, allowing effective use of agronomic potential across various agro-climatic zones. Kasalla develops rapidly and strongly in autumn, forming substantial vegetative mass by winter, which contributes to its high winter hardiness and resistance to adverse weather conditions.
The hybrid exhibits high disease resistance, particularly to sclerotinia, due to the presence of the Rlm7 gene, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Additionally, Kasalla shows excellent tolerance to lodging and pod cracking, ensuring seed retention and product quality. The rapeseed also demonstrates high drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for regions with limited water availability.
The cultivation technology for Kasalla rapeseed is conventional, with a recommended seeding rate of 400-550 thousand seeds per hectare. The hybrid responds well to growth regulators and features medium-early flowering. All these characteristics make Kasalla a versatile and effective solution for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high rapeseed yields under challenging climatic conditions.
