The "Mytnytskyi 2" winter rapeseed, developed by researchers at NULES of Ukraine (НУБіП України), is a specialized variety focused on producing high-quality raw materials with excellent oil content. The selection process prioritized a balance between adaptability to local climatic conditions and ease of harvesting.

Morphology and Planting Architecture

The plant reaches a height of 160–170 cm. Its moderate branching allows for efficient soil nutrient utilization at a planting density of 700,000 to 800,000 plants per hectare. This stand configuration promotes optimal crop aeration and uniform pod ripening, which is critical for reducing losses during mechanical harvesting.

Grain Quality Metrics

The primary advantage of this variety lies in its seed chemical composition. Oil content ranges between 45–50%, meeting modern export requirements for oilseed crops. These technological features are complemented by low erucic acid content and a glucosinolate concentration of 9–10 mmol. Such metrics ensure that "Mytnytskyi 2" seeds serve as high-value raw material for processing, reducing subsequent refining and purification costs.

Economic Efficiency

The yield potential of this variety is 20–30 centners per hectare. When adhering to recommended seeding rates and agricultural practices, the variety demonstrates consistent development.
