Description
The hybrid of bright rapeseed "Silver 1" is characterized by high oil content and resistance to various stress factors. The vegetation period is 90-95 days, allowing for an early harvest. Plants reach a height of about 155-165 cm and are characterized by white flower color. The hybrid has strong seed germination energy and cold resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine.
"Silver 1" demonstrates high resistance to lodging, shattering, drought, and major diseases such as phoma, downy mildew, and alternaria. Pest infestation, including cabbage aphids and cabbage leaf beetles, is at a low level, contributing to maintaining high crop quality. Rapeseed has an optimal sowing rate — from 650,000 to 800,000 germinating seeds per hectare, depending on sowing dates and conditions.
The yield potential of the hybrid ranges from 25 to 65 centners per hectare, with average yields varying within 35-43 centners per hectare. Oil content in seeds reaches 46.2%, with minimal erucic acid levels (0.0-0.05%) and glucosinolates within 0.4-0.5%. High protein content (about 23.8%) and 1000-seed mass of 4.9-5.0 g provide excellent raw material quality for the oil industry.
