Description
YUMART is a 00-type spring rapeseed variety created through hybridization of the Lira and Ural varieties. The plant is of medium height, reaching 80-118 cm, with green leaves of medium length and width, medium edge toothiness, and medium degree of petal development. The stem has an anthocyanin coloration, and the leaf blade is covered with a medium waxy coating. Flowers are yellow with petals of medium length and width, and a long pedicel. Seeds are round, with a 1000-seed mass varying from 2.6 to 4.2 g. The variety is mid-early maturing, with a vegetative period of about 89 days. YUMART is distinguished by high yield and resistance to adverse factors. In the Volga-Vyatsky region, average yield is 10.3 c/ha, which is 1.0 c/ha above the standard, and in the Middle-Volga region, it is 6.9 c/ha, exceeding the standard by 0.9 c/ha. Maximum yield indicators were achieved in the Nizhny Novgorod region (32.2 c/ha) and the Republic of Tatarstan (20.8 c/ha). Yield increase in various regions ranges from 5% to 40%. Seed oil content is about 42%, corresponding to or exceeding standard indicators. Oil harvesting in some regions reaches 4.8%, which is above standard values. The YUMART variety is resistant to lodging and shedding on the root, and also possesses resistance to a number of diseases. Susceptibility to Alternaria and Peronospora is at a medium level, comparable with the reference variety Ratnik, while the variety is resistant to Fusarium. Pests such as cruciferous flea beetles and rapeseed bud moth can cause certain damage, but overall the variety demonstrates good adaptation and reliability. Due to its characteristics, YUMART is successfully cultivated in Tatarstan and recommended for use in the Volga-Vyatsky and Middle-Volga regions.
