Brousvena

Brousvena raspberry is a remontant variety with tree-like bushes reaching up to two meters in height. The bushes feature strong branching and a small number of thorns, while thick, upright canes make harvesting easier. This variety does not require staking and has a strong root system, contributing to its resilience and ease of cultivation. Brousvena raspberry is highly cold-resistant, tolerating temperatures down to -28…-34°C, and is also resistant to many common diseases of berry crops.

Fruiting is prolonged and occurs in two stages: the first harvest ripens in mid-June, and the second one occurs from late August until the first autumn frosts. Thanks to this, up to two to three harvests can be collected during the season. Berries begin to form on second-year canes, and the second wave of fruiting appears on young stems of the current year. High yields reach 5-6 kg per bush with proper care.

Brousvena raspberry berries are considered among the largest among all varieties—weighing 12-15 grams. The fruits have a rich raspberry hue, juicy flesh, and pleasant aroma. The flavor is tart-sweet, although some may find it slightly tart, and a characteristic scent is noted from the bushes. Due to their firm skin, the berries retain their shape well during processing, making this variety ideal for making jam and transportation over long distances without damage.
