Description
The Pokhlinka raspberry is a medium-late remontant variety bred by breeder Vladimir Shiblyev. Fruiting begins in mid-August and continues until November in warm autumn weather. The bushes are powerful and upright, reaching heights from 130 to 160 cm, which allows them to be grown without additional staking. Stems start green, turn brownish in autumn, and branch actively, while soft thorns do not hinder harvesting. The leaves are large, round with toothed edges and slightly curled.
The berries of the Pokhlinka variety are very large, reaching lengths up to 4-5 cm and weights up to 18 grams. They have an elongated-conical shape, a rich raspberry color with a slight sheen, and a dense, fleshy structure. The fruits are characterized by high uniformity in size and ripen simultaneously, which facilitates harvesting. Thanks to the dense pulp, the raspberry withstands long-distance transportation well.
The variety is distinguished by high yield – from one hectare, one can collect from 18 to 22 tons of berries, and from one bush, about 4-5 kg. Pokhlinka is drought-resistant and does not require complex care, making it attractive for cultivation on sunny plots. Seedlings are supplied in reliable packaging with a moist medium, ensuring their safety and good establishment.
