Description
MURANO — an Italian everbearing variety with early ripening and high yield. It fruits in waves 3-4 times from early June to October, ensuring a prolonged harvest period. The bushes are compact, up to 30 cm tall, with few runners and large white flowers. Few leaves reduce pest risk and enhance resistance to adverse weather conditions, including heat and frost.
The berries of the MURANO variety are large, weighing 35–50 grams, conical in shape, and bright red. The flesh is dense, light-red, juicy, and aromatic, with few seeds. The flavor is sweet and rich, making this variety especially attractive to consumers. Due to its high flesh density, the berries have good transportability and a long storage life even without refrigeration.
The variety is low-maintenance and resistant to several diseases, including root rots, leaf spots, phytophthora, and gray mold. The stems are strong and upright, and runners are minimal. MURANO is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover. Choose a sunny spot with loose, moist soil, following a 25x25 cm spacing. Regular watering for the first week after planting is necessary for successful rooting.
