Description
Vima Zanta strawberry is a large-fruited hybrid variety of Dutch selection, characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse conditions. The plant forms powerful, branched bushes about 30 cm high with dark green foliage and active tiller formation. Berries have a round or conical shape, weighing from 30 to 45 grams, with a rich red color and a pleasant strawberry aroma. The flesh is dense, ensuring good fruit preservation during long-distance transportation.
The variety is distinguished by its early ripening period – the first berries can be harvested as early as late May or mid-June. Vima Zanta has high resistance to frosts down to -22°C, drought, as well as to common diseases and pests such as aphids, raspberry beetle, powdery mildew, and gray mold. This makes it suitable for cultivation in Central European climate and other regions with similar conditions.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant the plants in well-lit areas with chernozem soil, maintaining a distance of about 30 cm between bushes. The plant requires regular top watering. Thanks to the sturdy structure of the bushes and the dense flesh of the berries, Vima Zanta is suitable for both personal consumption and commercial cultivation for sale and transportation.
