IZORSKY

IZORSKY – annual ryegrass (family of the meadows), intended as raw material for silage mowers and as material for lawn repair. The variety is characterized by high yield: green mass reaches 48‑50 t/ha, hay – 6.5–9.0 t/ha, and seeds – from 800 to 1200 kg/ha. Protein content in hay is 12‑14 %, fiber – 30‑34 %. Thanks to these parameters, the plant provides good fodder potential and high economic return.

The vegetative cycle of the variety is short: from emergence to the first cut takes 51 days, to seed maturity – 86 days, and the period between the first and second cut – just 31 days. This allows obtaining 2‑3 crops per year with proper crop management. The variety is resistant to frost and diseases, which makes it suitable for a wide range of climatic zones.

IZORSKY is distinguished by a dense root system and powerful stems 70‑80 cm long, which create a reliable turf. With regular mowing, the plant regrows quickly, and its ability to abundant watering makes it convenient to operate. Sowing seeds at the end of April or beginning of May can achieve sufficient mass and strength of plants by mid-June. The sowing rate is 25‑30 kg/ha, which ensures optimal coverage of areas.
