Description
The 'LUBAVA' camelina variety belongs to type 00 (non-erucic, low-glucosinolate) and is diploid. The plant is of medium height with a stem diameter from medium to large, green leaf in an average position; tip curvature is absent or very weak. The edges of the first leaf are covered with medium-density fuzz, the number of leaf lobes is average, and the waviness of the edges is moderate. The petals are lemon-yellow in color with medium length and width.
The crop matures within 260–262 days after sowing; with autumn sowing, flowering occurs in the following year with an early term. The pod is of medium length without anthocyanin, the beak of the pod is also of medium size, and the seeds are yellow-brown. The seed yield is 24.8 c/ha, and the fat content in the grain is 45.6%. The variety is characterized by high productivity and high oil content, making it competitive according to world quality standards.
'LUBAVA' is distinguished by low susceptibility to diseases and pests, as well as good winter hardiness. This allows the variety to be used both for oil production and as green feed. It matures 10–15 days earlier than rapeseed, which ensures early harvest and economic benefit for farmers.
