SAZEN — a mid-season sugar sorghum variety intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the North Caucasian, Lower Volga, Central Black Earth, Middle Volga, Urals, and West Siberia. This variety is characterized by high drought and lodging resistance, ensuring stable yield even under unfavorable climatic conditions. The plants are tall, reaching heights from 230 to 270 cm, with juicy and thick stems containing 17-19% sugars, making them a valuable raw material for the production of sugar syrup and molasses.

SAZEN has high fodder value due to the significant content of sugar, starch, and protein in green mass and silage. This increases the nutritional value of feeds obtained from this variety, which is particularly important for animal husbandry. In addition, the variety is characterized by high grain productivity, and the seeds are partially open, which facilitates threshing without the need for dehulling. An interesting feature of the seeds is their ability to pop, similar to popcorn.

It is recommended to use SAZEN for the production of silage, silageage, green feed, and molasses. The sowing rate is about 200,000 seeds per hectare, which ensures optimal sowing density and maximum productivity.
