BEAUTIFUL SWORD

Soybean variety «Beautiful Sword» is an early-maturing agricultural crop intended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region. The plant is of a determinate type, low-growing, with a lower pod attachment height of about 21 cm. The stem varies from erect to semi-erect and is covered with reddish-brown pubescence. Leaves are of medium size, with lanceolate leaflets of green color, while flowers have a purple hue. Pods are characterized by a dark brown color, and seeds are of medium size, spherical-flattened, brown in color with a dark brown hilum. The variety is distinguished by high yield — the average indicator is 9.2 centners per hectare, and the maximum reaches 20.6 centners per hectare. Seeds contain a significant amount of protein — 41.5%, as well as fat — 21.0%, which makes this variety promising for the production of oil and feed. Due to its characteristics, «Beautiful Sword» is widely used in the agro-industrial complex to obtain high-quality raw materials. Studies conducted in the Oryol region confirmed the good adaptation of the variety to the conditions of the Central region. The influence of various agro-technical methods, such as sowing rate, sowing method, application of mineral fertilizers, and seed inoculation, has a positive effect on yield. The variety is recommended for cultivation as a predecessor of winter crops, which expands the possibilities of its use in crop rotation and increases the efficiency of agricultural production.
