Chernyatka

Soy Chernyatka is a mid-late maturing variety developed by individual selection from the hybrid Yug-30/Chernyatka at the NNC 'Institute of Agronomy of UAAN'. In the conditions of the Kyiv region, this variety reaches maturity in 110-115 days. Chernyatka is distinguished by high-quality grain production, stable and reliable yield, as well as high resistance to shattering and cracking of pods, ensuring the preservation of the harvest and its high market value.

This soy variety exhibits high resistance to major prevalent diseases, as well as to low temperatures during flowering and fruiting. Chernyatka shows good drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including forest-steppe areas of Ukraine and Polesie. Due to these characteristics, this variety is recommended for main crops and can be successfully used as a predecessor for winter crops.

Soy as a whole is one of the best predecessors for subsequent crops, improving soil fertility through biological nitrogen fixation by rhizobial bacteria. As a representative of soy varieties, Chernyatka contributes to increasing the yield and quality of subsequent crops, particularly winter wheat, increasing its yield by 3–6 centners per hectare and ensuring grain not lower than the third grade. This makes the variety not only profitable in terms of yield, but also an important element of crop rotation.
