Diona

Diona soybean is an ultra-early variety that reaches maturity in 81-90 days, making it suitable for various crop rotations, including spring, semi-early, and late sowings. This variety is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine due to its high adaptability to adverse conditions and stress factors. Plant height ranges from 70 to 110 cm, with the lower pod attachment height at 12-14 cm, which facilitates harvesting and increases yield.

Diona features a compact, dense bush with narrow dark green leaves and white flowers. Seeds are round-oval in shape, light yellow with a light hilum and cotyledon, with a 1000-seed mass of 150-175 g. The seeds contain a high protein content — 37-42%, and 19-23% oil, making this variety valuable for producing protein and oil products. Yield potential reaches 3.0-3.5 t/ha (25-35 c/ha), confirming its economic efficiency.

The Diona variety is resistant to diseases and stress factors, ensuring stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions. Due to its short vegetation period and high adaptability, it is a reliable predecessor for winter crops. The recommended seeding rate is 1-1.2 million germinating seeds per hectare or 120-140 kg/ha, which is optimal for achieving maximum productivity. Diona soybean is listed in the Ukrainian Variety Register and recognized as a national standard in the ultra-early group, confirming its high quality and demand among agricultural producers.
