EN ACCENT

EN ACCENT is a fast-maturing high-protein soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) indeterminate growth type variety intended for feed and food purposes. The plants are of medium height, 70-80 cm, with moderate branching and high resistance to lodging, ensuring minimal losses at harvest up to 5%. Flowers are purple, stem pubescence is reddish-brown, leaves are lanceolate-ovate in shape, and seeds are yellow with a yellow hilum. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 180 to 220 g, indicating the variety's large fruit size.

The vegetative period is 100-110 days, corresponding to the early-maturing 000 ripening group, with a sum of effective temperatures of about 2200 °C. The variety is adapted for cultivation in the Central region of Russia, including the Tula and Kaluga regions, and is also capable of successful development in northern regions up to 53 degrees of northern latitude. The optimal sowing time is when the soil at sowing depth warms up to 10-12 °C. The recommended sowing rate is 550-600 thousand seeds per hectare, taking into account field germination, which ensures the desired number of plants for harvest of 500-600 thousand pcs./ha.

EN ACCENT is distinguished by high yield – average yield in the region reaches 19.2 c/ha, and potential can be up to 43.2 c/ha. Protein content in seeds is at the level of 35-43%, and fat – about 21.5%, making the variety valuable for feed, food, and technical use. The variety possesses resistance to a range of diseases, including downy mildew, septoria, sclerotinia, and bacterial blight, which contributes to yield stability and reduced losses.
