Description
EN ARGENTA soybean is a high-yielding and intensive early-maturing variety of own selection by the Group of Companies "EcoNiva", adapted for the soil and climate conditions of the Central Black Soil Region and the southern part of the Central Non-black Soil Region. The variety has been included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements since 2020 and has quickly gained popularity among Russian farmers, taking leading positions in terms of sown seed volumes. EN ARGENTA matures in the first decade of September with a sum of active temperatures of about 2300 °C, which ensures stable ripening in the specified regions. The vegetative period is 100-105 days, and the mass of 1000 grains varies from 120 to 140 grams. This variety is characterized by an indeterminate growth type with enhanced branching – up to 5-6 branches, which contributes to increased yield, which reaches 50.3 centners per hectare. EN ARGENTA is distinguished by its resistance to lodging and seed shattering, as well as tolerance to major diseases such as Peronosporosis, bacterial blight, and Sclerotinia. Seeds of the variety contain a high level of protein – up to 40% on absolutely dry matter, and fat content of about 21.5%, which makes it in demand for feed, food, and technical use. Losses on stubble during harvesting do not exceed 3%. EN ARGENTA soybean has purple flowers, gray pubescence, and yellow hilum. The recommended sowing period is when the soil warms up to a depth of 10–12 °C. The sowing rate is 550–600 thousand viable seeds per hectare. Due to its characteristics and adaptation to regional conditions, the variety is a reliable predecessor for winter crops and ensures stable yields under Central Black Soil and neighboring regions.
