Description
Soybean variety Fayeton is an early-maturing variety recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. Plants reach an average height of 70-80 cm, have a compact and dense bush with an intermediate growth type. The vegetation period ranges from 95 to 105 days, making this variety suitable for both main spring sowings and later sowings. The variety is resistant to lodging, facilitating mechanized harvest.
Fayeton is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as downy mildew and bacterial blight, and demonstrates good adaptation to stress factors and diverse soil-climatic conditions. Seeds contain 38-41% protein and 19-20% oil, making it valuable for producing high-quality grain. The 1000-seed weight varies between 140-157 g, indicating good quality seed material.
The yield potential of variety Fayeton reaches 4.2 t/ha under optimal conditions, and in some cases may reach 4.5-5 t/ha. The recommended seeding rate is 500-600 thousand plants per hectare, at a sowing depth of 4-5 cm. The variety has been included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2000 and is widely used in the agricultural sector due to its reliability, productivity, and versatility in application.
