Description
Monada soybean variety is an early-maturing, high-yielding variety with a vegetation period of 110 to 125 days, ensuring a quick start and effective crop formation. Plant height ranges from 90 to 110 cm, and the attachment height of the lower pod is 10-20 cm, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, shattering, and main diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various agroclimatic conditions, particularly in the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. The potential yield of Monada soybean ranges from 2.5-5.0 t/ha depending on cultivation conditions and agronomy. Oil content in seeds is 17.8-19.5%, and protein content is 37.5-39.7%, making this variety attractive for producing both food and feed raw materials. The recommended seeding density at harvest is 650-750 thousand plants per hectare, promoting optimal land use and maximum yield formation. Studies show that maximum productivity of the variety is achieved through a comprehensive approach to seed preparation, including treatment with bulbous bacterial strains, seed treatment, and application of organic microfertilizers. This approach allows yield to reach 2.96 t/ha on gray forest medium-loam soils of the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. Monada soybean was developed and registered by the Institute of Feed and Agriculture of Podillya NAAN of Ukraine in 2008 and remains in demand due to its high economic and biological performance.
