OAC Morden

Soybean variety OAC Morden is an ultra-early classic hybrid of new genetics with a vegetative period of about 110 days and a sum of effective temperatures (CHU) of 2675. This variety is distinguished by its high protein content up to 44%, making it especially valuable for food purposes. Plants reach a height of about 90 cm, with lower pods set at a height of 13-15 cm, which facilitates harvesting and reduces losses.

OAC Morden exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including anthracnose, ascochitosis, and septoria, as well as excellent resistance to lodging, shattering, and pod cracking. The variety is characterized by intensive early growth and a tendency to branching, which contributes to its high yield potential, reaching up to 70 centners/ha. Additionally, the crop shows high drought and cold tolerance, allowing successful cultivation on most soil types and in various regions.

For optimal growth, it is recommended to sow seeds at a density of 600-700 thousand per hectare, using planters with row spacing from 12.5 to 45 cm. Before sowing, it is advisable to inoculate seeds with nitrogen-fixing bacteria to improve nitrogen nutrition of plants. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the OAC Morden variety is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality soybean yields.
