Description
The Parus soy variety is an early-maturing indeterminate type with a vegetative period ranging from 100 to 109 days. This variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and pod splitting, ensuring crop preservation and seed quality. The plants are tall, reaching a height of approximately 112 cm in the south-eastern zone of Krasnodar Krai. The variety is recommended for cultivation in regions with the Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, and Lower Volga climates, and is also successfully cultivated in Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Oblast.
Parus is characterized by high yield and quality seed indicators. The average yield in the region is about 18.9 c/ha, with maximum values up to 20.8 c/ha, and potential yield can reach 38 c/ha. The weight of 1000 seeds varies from 172.2 g to 188.4 g in optimally moistened years. Seeds contain a high level of protein — from 40.7% to 43%, and oil content at the level of 22.6-23.23%, making the variety attractive for the production of both food and oilseed raw materials.
The Parus variety exhibits resistance to a range of diseases, including downy mildew, fusarium, ascochytosis, bacterial blotch, and gray mold. Thanks to the short vegetative period, the crop allows obtaining seeds without the need for artificial drying, which facilitates soil preparation for subsequent sowings of winter cereal crops. The combination of early maturity, resistance to adverse factors, and high technological parameters makes the Parus variety a profitable choice for agricultural production.
