PRIMORSKAYA 4

The Primorskaya 4 soybean variety belongs to medium-ripening varieties with a vegetation period of about 118 days. Plants are indeterminate type, medium-height, ranging from 75 to 84 cm, with semi-upright or compact bush shape. Lower pods are located high, at about 15 cm from the ground, which facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses. Leaves are trifoliate, oval-shaped, with pointed-ovate side leaflets, and stems and pods are covered with light or gray pubescence. Flowers have a purple color, which is a characteristic feature of the variety.

Primorskaya 4 seeds are of medium size, elongated or spherical in shape, with a light matte coat and a light-brown or gray hilum with an eye. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 140 to 165 grams, ensuring good germination and resistance to mechanical damage during harvesting. Protein content in seeds ranges from 37.2% to 39.2%, and fat content from 20.9% to 22%, making this variety versatile in purpose and attractive for various uses.

Primorskaya 4 is recommended for cultivation in Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krais, where it demonstrates stable yields at the level of 2.8-3.1 tons per hectare (or 18.8 c/ha). The variety is well adapted to the climatic conditions of the Far Eastern region and is in demand among domestic producers due to the combination of high productivity, good seed quality, and ease of agricultural use.
