PRO Helicon

PRO Helicon soybean variety is a high-yielding and adaptable crop, designed for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including northern regions. This variety belongs to the early-maturing group 00 and 000, ensuring its successful use in colder and wetter zones. PRO Helicon is distinguished by its high plasticity and ability to stably photosynthesize even under stressful conditions, contributing to a stable yield.

One of the key features of this variety is its high yield and disease resistance. PRO Helicon possesses a unique genetic potential that provides maximum protection against root, stem, and leaf diseases, as well as prevents pod cracking. Its high drought and heat tolerance makes it particularly valuable for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 87 to 112 cm, with the first pod located at a height of 12–15 cm, facilitating harvesting.

The variety is characterized by a higher number of pods per plant and a greater number of seeds per pod, including up to 40% four-seeded pods. PRO Helicon has a high protein content — over 42% — making it attractive for producing high-quality protein. The technological yield potential ranges from 38 to 45 centners per hectare, with 1000-seed mass varying from 130 to 160 g. The recommended seeding rate is 800,000 plants per hectare, with row spacing from 12.5 to 25 cm. The variety is well-adapted for monoculture cultivation and efficiently utilizes fertilizers, while also being resistant to lodging due to its well-developed root system. For protecting PRO Helicon soybean crops, herbicides such as metolachlor, quizalofop-p-ethyl, prometryn, fludioxonil, and glyphosate are applied.
