SAMETS

The Soybean variety 'Samets' is an early-maturing indeterminate variety developed by a group of breeders led by E.P. Tsirulev and included in the State Register in 2024. Plants of this variety reach a height of 75-80 cm, have egg-shaped pointed leaves, and purple flowers. The stems are covered with reddish-brown pubescence, which is a characteristic feature of the variety. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, which contributes to crop preservation and facilitates harvesting.

Samets demonstrates high yield, which varies in different regions from 27 to 50 c/ha. In the Central Black Earth region, the average yield is about 31.8 c/ha, reaching a maximum of 47.8 c/ha. In the Altai Krai and other enterprises, yield indicators vary within the range of 27-30 c/ha. The protein content in the grain of the variety ranges from 33.25% to 41%, while the oil content is 16.8-20%, making this variety attractive for the production of high-quality raw materials.

Soy Samets is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Black Earth, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, and Ural regions. The variety is well adapted to local climatic conditions, including the duration of the growing season, the amount of precipitation, and effective temperatures. Despite its high resistance to lodging, the variety is susceptible to powdery mildew and bacterial spot, which requires attention in agronomic measures and plant protection.
