Sandra

Soybean variety Sandra was included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2014 and belongs to early-maturing varieties with a vegetation period of 93-101 days. This variety is adapted for cultivation in all natural-climatic zones of Ukraine and can form grain yields up to 40 ц/ha on fallow land at standard moisture level of 14%. Sandra is characterized by a higher number of pods per plant and high content of 4-seeded pods — up to 40%, which contributes to increased yield.

Plants of the Sandra variety have an indeterminate growth type and a semi-compacted bush form, which ensures high resistance to lodging. Plant height reaches 80-120 cm, with 10-15 nodes per stem and the lower pod attachment height of 12-15 cm. Leaves are lance-shaped, flowers are white, seeds are yellow. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases, pests, and adverse growing conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers.

The grain of the Sandra variety has a 1000-seed mass ranging from 150 to 175 g, with uniformity of 95%. Protein content in the grain is 39-41%, and oil content — 19-23%, which corresponds to the mid-oil usage direction. The recommended plant density at harvest is 550-650 thousand plants per hectare. Due to its characteristics and resistance, the Sandra variety is widely used for obtaining high-quality grain with high protein and oil content.
