Soya variety Sayana is an early-maturing northern ecotype variety selected for its high cold tolerance and adaptation to various climatic conditions. This variety is characterized by a short growing season, ranging from 98 to 133 days depending on the latitude of cultivation, which allows for successful cultivation in regions with a short warm season. Plant height varies from 77-88 cm in the south to 105-147 cm in more northern regions, demonstrating its plasticity and ability to adapt to various growing conditions.

Sayana possesses high resistance to reduced air and soil temperatures, withstanding frosts down to minus 5 °C, and also demonstrates resistance to diseases and pests. This makes the variety particularly valuable for cultivation in the Central-Black Earth, North-Caucasus, Middle-Volga, Lower-Volga, Ural, Western Siberia, and Eastern Siberia regions. Due to reduced reaction to day length, the variety maintains stable productivity even under conditions of long daylight and insufficient heat supply.

Soya Sayana is characterized by high nutritional value: protein content in seeds reaches 37-42 %, and oil content is about 22-23 %. The mass of 1000 seeds is approximately 140 g. The potential yield of the variety can reach 37 c/ha, while the average yield in the Central-Black Earth region is about 23.7 c/ha. These indicators make the variety attractive for agricultural producers seeking to obtain a quality and high-yielding soya crop in various climatic zones.
