SK OPTIMA

SK Optima is an early-maturing soybean variety of semi-determinate growth type, developed by Russian breeders of the company 'SOKO'. The plants are of medium height with high resistance to lodging and pod cracking during prolonged drought, ensuring crop preservation and high seed quality. The variety is characterized by weak branching and no branch breakage, as well as anthocyanin pigmentation of the hypocotyl and grey pubescence on the main stem. Flowers are purple, seeds are light yellow with yellow hilum, of medium size and good market appearance. SK Optima differs in high protein content — up to 42%, making it in demand both in the food and feed industries. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 150 to 180 grams depending on growing conditions. The variety has high drought resistance and simultaneously responds well to irrigation, allowing for stable and high yields. The yield of the variety reaches 16.4 centners per hectare, making it a leader among early-maturing soybean varieties. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasus and Far Eastern regions of Russia, as well as the East Kazakhstan region. It is resistant to main soybean diseases, such as Fusarium, downy mildew, and gray mold. The sum of effective temperatures for maturation is 2300-2400°C, and the time of flowering onset is average. Thanks to its agronomic and biochemical characteristics, SK Optima is a universal and promising variety for intensive agriculture.
