BTS 7160 sugar beet is a new normal-sugar type hybrid, distinguished by high resistance to aspergillosis and fusarium, as well as moderate resistance to cercospora, powdery mildew, and rust. This resistance ensures crop reliability and reduces risk of losses when grown under various climatic conditions.
The hybrid seeds are treated with the patented UltiPro activation technology developed by BETA SID. This technology promotes optimal seed germination acceleration and ensures uniform emergence, allowing full genetic potential of the plant to be realized and enhancing planting efficiency.
BTS 7160 delivers high sugar yield due to the optimal combination of high productivity, sugar content, and excellent quality of beet juice. Based on two-year trials conducted by the Czech State Variety Commission, the hybrid demonstrated the lowest content of melanin-forming substances in juice, such as potassium, sodium, and alpha-amino nitrogen, indicating high product quality and benefits for processing.
