Fantazja — a sugar beet hybrid intended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem and North Caucasus regions. The plant is characterized by medium to high height, intermediate leaf position, and medium leaf surface wrinkling. The root has a broad-conical shape, medium length, and weighs between 565 and 595 grams. The hybrid demonstrates moderate resistance to cercosporosis and average resistance to other diseases, ensuring stable productivity under various climatic conditions. The average yield of Fantazja beets varies by region and ranges from 455 to 551.2 centners per hectare. Sugar content in the roots reaches 16.9%, enabling high sugar harvests — up to 88.1 centners per hectare. These characteristics make the hybrid attractive for industrial cultivation and processing, ensuring efficient sugar production. Sugar beet Fantazja is a two-year plant, forming an elongated root in the first year with firm white flesh and basal leaves forming a rosette. When processed, the entire product is utilized without waste: besides sugar, it yields molasses, bagasse, and distillery waste. Molasses is used in the production of alcohol, glycerin, citric acid, and yeast; distillery waste serves as a valuable fertilizer, and bagasse is used as nutritious animal feed. Additionally, sugar beet yields ethanol, which can serve as an alternative fuel replacing diesel fuel.
