About product
GAGARIN is a late-maturing, one-stem, diploid hybrid of sugar beet on a Z-type sterile basis, recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and Volga regions. This hybrid is characterized by high root yield: in the Central Black Earth region it reaches 570 c/ha with 17.6% sugar content, in the North Caucasus region 529 c/ha with 15.1% sugar content, and in the Volga regio…

Description
GAGARIN is a late-maturing, one-stem, diploid hybrid of sugar beet on a Z-type sterile basis, recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and Volga regions. This hybrid is characterized by high root yield: in the Central Black Earth region it reaches 570 c/ha with 17.6% sugar content, in the North Caucasus region 529 c/ha with 15.1% sugar content, and in the Volga region the yield is 726 c/ha with 14.9% sugar content. Sugar recovery in the Central Black Earth region reaches 101 c/ha. At the same time, infection by root maggot and Cercospora is noted, which requires attention during cultivation.
Sugar beet GAGARIN is a heat-loving and heat-resistant crop; the optimal temperature for its growth and development is 20-22°C, but photosynthetic activity is maintained even at temperatures above 40°C. From the first days of life, the plant is very moisture-demanding, especially during intensive root growth in July-August. A lack of moisture during this period can lead to an increased nitrogen content in roots, which negatively affects the quality of the harvest. Thanks to a well-developed root system capable of absorbing water from a depth of about 2.5 meters, the hybrid has good drought resistance.
Growing the GAGARIN hybrid requires adherence to agronomic norms, taking into account its sensitivity to diseases and need for optimal moisture. High yield and sugar content make this hybrid attractive to agricultural producers seeking to obtain a high-quality and economically viable sugar beet harvest.
