Description
KENOS is a mid-maturing diploid hybrid of sugar beet, intended for cultivation in the Central and Central Black Earth regions, with a special recommendation for the Ryazan region. The hybrid is based on sterile N type and is characterized by high yield and sugar content, which is confirmed by the results of multi-year trials. The root mass is about 714 grams, which ensures significant crop collection per hectare.
Compared to the standard Ramonsky MS 46, KENOS demonstrates superiority in key agronomic indicators: root yield is higher by 72.2 centners/ha on average across the region and by 31.6 centners/ha in the Ryazan region, sugar content is increased by 0.8% and 1.2% respectively, and sugar collection exceeds the standard by 16.5 centners/ha and 15.8 centners/ha. These indicators make the hybrid attractive for producers focused on maximum sugar production efficiency.
The hybrid is characterized by resistance to Cercospora, showing very weak infection with this disease under field conditions, which promotes yield stability and reduced costs for plant protection. KENOS is also characterized by good plant density and normal placement of the root head above the soil surface, which facilitates harvesting and improves product quality. All these qualities make KENOS a reliable choice for the sugar industry in beet-growing regions.
