Marino

MARINO is a nematode-resistant sugar beet hybrid of the NZ type, distinguished by high sugar content and yield. It features rapid early emergence, adaptability to growing conditions, and a single-stem diploid type on a sterile basis. The root has an oval-conical shape with 85% soil penetration, ensuring good harvestability with any harvesting machinery. The leafy rosette is upright, medium-sized with a small rosette, promoting efficient photosynthesis and plant development.

The MARINO hybrid demonstrates a high balance between yield and sugar content when strict cultivation technology is followed. Sugar content varies by region and can reach up to 19%, while root yield can reach up to 83 tons per hectare. In the Central Chernozem region, average yield is about 446 c/ha with 19% sugar content, and in the North Caucasus region, yield reaches 560 c/ha with 16.9% sugar content. Recommended planting density is 100-115 thousand plants per hectare.

MARINO is resistant to diseases such as rhizomania, cercosporosis, and phytophthora rot, and is tolerant to ramulariosis. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various soil-climate zones, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, and can be used for early, mid, and late harvests. Its high adaptability and resistance make MARINO an optimal choice for regions with oversaturation of sugar beet and potato crops in crop rotation.
