Description
MC FD 1006 is a single-stem diploid hybrid of first-generation sugar beet, developed on a sterile base. It is characterized by high yield and high sugar content, making it attractive for industrial processing. The average yield of root crops is about 396 centners per hectare, with sugar content reaching 17% and sugar harvest of 68.3 centners per hectare. The average mass of one root crop is 460 grams. The hybrid is distinguished by weak susceptibility to root eating and medium resistance to Cercospora, which contributes to a stable yield under growing conditions. The plant forms a semi-erect rosette of leaves with 50 to 60 leaves per plant. The root system is taproot, penetrating the soil to a depth of 2-2.5 meters and branching in width by 1-1.2 meters, which ensures good nutrition and resistance to unfavorable conditions. The root crop has a cylindrical-conical shape, is large, and is fully submerged in the soil, which facilitates harvest and reduces losses. The hybrid is resistant to such diseases as Cercospora, powdery mildew, and cellar rot of the root crop, which improves quality and preservation of the product. MC FD 1006 is recommended for cultivation in regions with various climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus region and the Rostov region. High sugar content and disease resistance make this hybrid the optimal choice for industrial cultivation and processing of sugar beet. When harvesting and processing sugar beet of this variety, requirements for the physical state of the root crops should be taken into account to ensure high quality of raw materials and maximum efficiency of sugar production.
