MURREY

MURREY is a single-stem triploid hybrid sugar beet on a sterile base, intended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region. This medium-late maturing variety is characterized by high root crop yield, averaging from 450 to 550 centners per hectare, with sugar content in the root crops at 18-18.5%. The average root crop mass reaches 552 grams; the root crop shape is conical-short with a shallow groove, and the leaves are wide and semi-spreading. Harvesting is conducted 155-165 days after sowing, which allows for optimal use of agrotechnical periods. The MURREY hybrid has good resistance to the main diseases of sugar beet. It tolerates cercosporosis, powdery mildew, and root maggot infestation satisfactorily, while demonstrating high resistance to rhizomania, ramularia leaf spot, and root rots. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is suitable for mass harvesting and storage, is well extracted by harvesters during digging, which enhances production technology and reduces losses during harvesting and storage. Sugar beet MURREY is recommended for growing in the conditions of the Central Black Earth region, where it shows stable yield and sugar content indicators. High sugar content in root crops and sugar collection of up to 86 centners per hectare make this hybrid attractive to sugar producers. Its adaptation to increased temperatures and arid conditions allows for successful use of the variety in various climatic conditions of the region, ensuring a reliable and quality harvest.
