Nastya

Sugar beet variety Nastya is a time-tested hybrid of the normal-sugar type, registered in the state registry since 2007. This variety is distinguished by high adaptability to climatic conditions and soil types, allowing successful cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe zones. Average yield is about 70 tons per hectare. For sowing, soil preparation using autumn plowing to a depth of at least 30 cm, as well as early spring harrowing to retain moisture, is recommended. Seeds should be sown at optimal times when soil temperature is 13-15°C, followed by rolling the field with rollers to ensure good seed-soil contact, promoting rapid and uniform germination. The roots of variety Nastya are characterized by high sugar content — on average 17.5–20%, placing this hybrid among the leaders in sugar content. The shape of the roots helps reduce contamination and facilitates harvest. Moreover, the variety exhibits resistance to leaf diseases, rot, and rhizomania, significantly reducing yield losses and improving storage quality of roots in heaps. These properties make Nastya especially attractive for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including arid regions. Thus, sugar beet Nastya is a reliable and high-yielding variety combining high sugar content, disease resistance, and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions. Proper agronomy, including soil preparation, timely sowing, and care, allows fully realizing the potential of this hybrid and obtaining a stable high yield of quality raw material for the sugar industry.
