Root Crop Technical Specifications

A key feature of this model is the geometry of the broad-conical root. This morphotype was not chosen by chance: this configuration ensures an optimal ratio of root mass to the depth of penetration within the soil profile. The medium size of the root allows for efficient mechanized harvesting with minimal losses, reducing the risk of damage during combine operations.

Phytosanitary Profile

The practical value of NS-H-082 RC lies in its high resistance to two of the most dangerous threats:

• Black Root (Damping-off): A complex of pathogens affecting seedlings at early stages. The hybrid’s genetic resistance helps reduce costs for seed fungicide treatments and minimizes stand loss.
• Cercospora Leaf Spot: A fungal disease that, if left uncontrolled, can destroy up to 30-50% of yield potential due to premature defoliation. The IFVCNS selection provides a high threshold of tolerance to Cercospora beticola, which is critical in regions with moderately humid summers.
