Description
Paton sugar beet is a medium-maturing diploid E-type hybrid with high sugar content and excellent yield performance. The vegetation period is approximately 160-220 days, allowing this variety to be used for late harvest, starting from mid-October. The root crop penetrates the soil by 90%, reaches a weight of about 900 grams, and has a sugar content of 18%. Under proper agronomic practices, more than 100 tons of quality sugar beet can be obtained per hectare.
The Paton hybrid is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and Polissia zones, where it demonstrates stable productivity and profitability. Seeds are supplied in packages of 100,000 units and require storage at +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%. It is recommended to plant after peas, winter wheat, or soybean for optimal plant development.
One of the key features of this variety is its resistance to major sugar beet diseases such as rhizomania and powdery mildew, which helps maintain root health and reduces crop losses. High productivity potential and adaptability to climatic conditions make Paton an attractive choice for producers seeking stable and high sugar beet yields.
