Ramonsky MS 60 is a sugar beet variety developed by VNIISS, intended for cultivation in various regions, including the Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and West Siberia. This hybrid is characterized by high one-seedliness (96%) and seed germination (82%), ensuring good germination and uniform plant development. The root crop has a cylindrical shape with immersion in the soil from 80 to 95%, which facilitates harvest convenience and reduces losses.
The variety is resistant to flowering and has average susceptibility to diseases such as rootworm, cercosporosis, root rots, and viral yellows. Meanwhile, powdery mildew and mosaic infection are at an above-average level, and there is also a stronger damage from beet flea and leaf miner.
In the Central Black Earth region, the variety demonstrates a moderate root crop yield of 456.7 centners per hectare with sugar content of 18.4%, ensuring sugar collection in a volume of 84.2 centners per hectare.
