Description
Rosscelina KWS sugar beet is a mid-early hybrid of the normal-sugar type NZ, developed by KWS. The plant features medium height and a broadly conical rootstock of medium length with a mass of approximately 572 grams. Leaves are dark green, semi-erect, with medium glossiness and crinkliness, without anthocyanin pigmentation. The vegetation period is about 160 days, allowing the hybrid to be used for early and medium harvest periods.
Rosscelina KWS is characterized by high resistance to major sugar beet diseases such as afanomyces, fusarium, scab, and cercosporosis. Additionally, the hybrid is tolerant to drought and periods of high temperatures, ensuring crop stability under various climatic conditions. Over the years of testing in the North Caucasus region, significant damage from diseases and pests was not observed, confirming the variety's reliability.
The hybrid delivers a high purified sugar yield per hectare, achieving a rootstock yield of approximately 398 centners per hectare and sugar content in rootstocks at the level of 20%. This makes Rosscelina KWS a leader in sugar content within its region. The technological form of the rootstock and excellent juice purity facilitate efficient processing and high sugar recovery, which is particularly important for the sugar industry.
