SKALA

The sugar beet hybrid SKALA is intended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatka region and is distinguished by its high drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for conditions with limited moisture. This mid-season hybrid has a growing period of 150-160 days and medium harvest dates, which allows for optimal planning of agrotechnical measures. The root crop has a wide conical shape with an intermediate leaf rosette form and is embedded in the soil by about two-thirds, which facilitates its extraction and reduces the degree of contamination during harvesting.

SKALA demonstrates high yield—up to 90 tons per hectare, with sugar content reaching 17.5% and sugar output of about 15.7 tons per hectare. The root crops have an average mass of about 700 grams and possess excellent storage life, ensuring product preservation for a long time. The hybrid is characterized by high juice purity and a technological root crop shape, which promotes efficient processing.

Particular attention is paid to disease resistance: SKALA exhibits high resistance to root rots, powdery mildew, cercosporosis, ramularia, and rhizomania. Additionally, the hybrid is well-adapted to acidic soils, expanding its cultivation possibilities. Field trial results confirm stability and high yield and sugar content indicators, making SKALA a profitable and promising choice for sugar producers.
