Description
Sugar beet hybrid Snizhana is characterized by high yield and sugar content, making it attractive for agricultural production. The plants are characterized by single-stemmed growth and strong initial growth, ensuring uniform development and even growth rate and habit. The roots contain 17 to 18% sugar, and the yield reaches 45–60 tons per hectare, indicating the high productivity of this hybrid.
The crop is cold-tolerant and drought-resistant, but requires adequate moisture, especially during seed germination and root development. Sugar beet does not tolerate high soil acidity, so liming and maintaining pH levels between 6.5–7.5 are recommended for optimal growth. Seeds are sown at a depth of 6–7 cm when soil temperature reaches 6–8°C, promoting successful germination and plant development.
One seed unit contains 100,000 seeds, with approximately 10 seeds per square meter and 4–5 plants per meter of row. The seeding rate is 1.2 to 1.8 seed units per hectare, sometimes more, ensuring plant density of 85–100 thousand plants per hectare before harvest. This approach to planting and care contributes to obtaining a high-quality yield of sugar beet Snizhana.
